LossShield NR
Effective Loss Control Solutions are key to Controlling Opex and Wellbore Construction Challenges. LossShield NR is a proprietary Single Sack Loss Control Material, comprised predominantly of fibres of varied sizes and geometries, sized particles, and polymers. It does not contain any metal or oversized particles. LossShield NR has been shown to be effective when tested across 3 x 1000µ, 3 x 3000µ and 3 x 5000µ slot discs, 30 min duration, with 500psi differential pressure
Case Histories
- Western offshore in India can be considered to comprise of Shale/Carbonate alternations, Shale/Sandstone alternations and Shale/Claystone alternations. There are major thief zones which are challenging to control. A major operator has drilled nearly 20 wells in this area using this LCM. The material has shown immense promise, and has been shown in some cases to reduce losses from the tune of 200bbl/hr to 30bbl/hr, 150bbl/hr to nil, Total Losses to 30bbl/hr.
LossShield PZ (Acid Soluble)
LossShield PZ is a Single Sack Loss Control Material formulated for Pay Zone applications. It comprises of In Situ formed Acid Soluble Fibers. The LCM can be effectively used to address losses across 1000µ to 5000µ apertures. Being acid soluble at >95%, it lends itself particularly well to Pay Zone applications. LossShield PZ has been shown to be effective when tested across 3 x 1000µ, 3 x 3000µ and 3 x 5000µ slot discs, 30 min duration, with 500psi differential pressure.
Acid Solubility of >95% has been tested in the laboratory using 15% Hydrochloric Acid.
